Slept ok in the Hotel. Mattress was soft. Still, hot breakfast at the Wild Goose Cafe, a taxi ride up the hill and I’m back on trail.

It’s a good 7 days for me to Crater Lake. I have a box waiting at the little store in Mazama. Looking forward to viewing the lake.

Still have too many fires. The thunderstorms last Monday started over 1,000 little fires, per the TV. Most didn’t amount to much, but a couple are still going. 😥

I’m on a ridge overlooking the valley where Ashland and Medford are. Not that you can tell with the smoke in the air. Anyway, I’m off.
