Printed my e-Ticket for Amtrak! I’m taking the 774 from Chatsworth tomorrow, Friday. It’s happening! Mark will pick me up in downtown and put me up for the night, then drive me out to the middle of the desert and leave me. 😀
Well…not quite the middle. The official trail-head/start of the Pacific Crest Trail is at a monument on the Mexican border, part of a little bump in the road called Campo.
From there I head north until I step into Canada, roughly 2,700 miles later.
Two days…sigh…

I can’t wait for you to take the first step and document every little nuance and I’m sure there will be trials and tribulations along the way; otherwise it wouldn’t be an adventure. You are a brave man, Mr. Booth and you already have an audience.
