I’ve hiked a lot of mountains, from the Sierras, Cascades, Appalachians, and more. But the Tetons are, to me, unique.

Compared to the others, they are so raw. Sharp. Outlined in the sky it seems you can just reach out and touch them like they’re somehow artificial. They are, compared to the others, obviously young and not ground down by time. So glad I’m here.

One of the roadside pullouts had this gem. Who’d thought? Here is the Teton peak itself.
