I wanted a west looking view for today’s hike, so I did the 3mi RT walk to Grand View Point. After a 700ft climb, I was underwhelmed. There was a slight view Eastward towards Two Ocean Lake.

But just trees looking Westward. Dropping down 1/4mi had an open space and I got this view.

It was not the full, unbridled view I was promised! Well, I promised myself. And I’m very disappointed in me. No dessert tonight.
Still, the trail itself was wonderful; Almost no people, and it’s spring! I tried to capture the look, but my iPhone just doesn’t have the dynamic range.

There should be lots of yellow flowers! One thing to note: the trail is dirt. Across the valley on the Tetons the trails are rock. Uphill is all stone stairs. Not much soil there. I did capture this Larkspur.

After lunch I walked along the shore of Jackson lake. All in all a nice day.

Looks beautiful, safe travels , and I really enjoy reading your posts !!
